A large crater to dump my thoughts

Conference Fever

Speaking at conferences is a great way to let other people know about your work, and to connect with users and other developers. There are sometimes other perks, like a speakers’ dinner and being reimbursed for travel or accommodation.

For the last year or so I have spoken at most conferences I attended. For this one I somehow missed the call for papers. I don’t regret it.

It’s great just being here, having fun and chatting away into the night, without having to worry about slides that have to be finished or about getting up early and being crisp and clear in the morning.
